LAUREN AND JARRAD, 7TH SEPTEMBER, 2013
Botanical Gardens Rosser Park
When we got engaged we knew where we wanted to get married straight away. My parents had been married in the botanical gardens and lots of my family (including my mum) had all used our family property on the Gold Coast as their reception venue. It has a beautiful setting and we knew we wanted something relaxed and fun for our family and friends. A lot of planning and extra stress goes into having a wedding at home but when you can see the final product and know that it is 100% the way you had imagined the stress and hard work doesn't matter anymore. We loved our little carnival theme and having the food served banquet style on the table with cold entrees and sharing plates, meant our guests weren't restricted with their options or hungry.
favourite menu items
Bride: I loved looking at the antipasto plate once guests entered the Marquee the presentation was exceptional. I wanted it to feel almost like they had come to our place for dinner, but a little more fancy!
Groom: The Beef was a highlight for sure!
The weather! Our dance floor, pre-reception party and ceremony were all outside and that was a big risk! There was not a cloud in the sky and I just remember thinking how lucky we were to have such a perfect day.
what guests are saying
We went for the shock factor - and we got it. Our guests had no idea there would be lawn games, fairy floss, popcorn, ice cream or the extra large caricature muriel that was painted of my husband and I. They had fun, they liked that it was different, it was fun and relaxed and that was exactly what we were after.
